Whether it’s your first time on the slopes, you want to refresh your skills after a long break, or you’re looking to take your technique further – our experienced and encouraging instructors teach both skiing and snowboarding.
The ski school is just as suitable for children and adults as it is for exchange student groups. We also arrange tailored lessons for work teams! You can join a lesson on your own or with others; group size and lesson content are adapted to the participants’ skill level. Our hugely popular Werneri courses are a great choice for the youngest members of the family.
- A lift ticket is included in all courses and private lessons
- Equipment rental for the lesson €12 / set
- After the lesson, 10% off lift tickets – and you can keep using your rental equipment at no extra cost
- Biski and Monoski sit-skis as well as adaptive equipment for standing skiing
COURSE CALENDAR 2026–2027
MiniWerneri is a 2 × 50-minute course for 4–6-year-olds that gives children the chance to take their first steps on skis together with children of the same age.
The aim of the course is for the child to experience moments of insight and success in a safe and inspiring environment, at a level that suits them. On the course, children learn:
- to stop at a marked spot
- to make their first turns
The course prepares children to move on to the LumiWerneri level, and the instructors can also assess whether the child is ready to join a LumiWerneri course during the same season.
The course is for 6–12-year-olds taking their first steps on alpine skis.
The aim of the course is to learn basic skiing skills, how to use the lifts, slope etiquette and slope safety.
For children under 6 interested in skiing, we recommend MiniWerneri or a private lesson.
The minimum age for the course is 7. The course is for children and young people who are new to snowboarding or have tried it a few times.
The aim of the course is to get to know the snowboard, learn about slope safety and how to use the ski lifts (carpet, rope and button lift). The course covers the basic skills of snowboarding, such as balance, gliding, side-slipping on the edge and turning.
For children under 7 interested in snowboarding, we recommend booking a private lesson.
The adult beginners' course is for first-timers and those with only a little experience of skiing or snowboarding. The course consists of two 90-minute lessons in which you practise the most important basics of the sport safely, in a relaxed and encouraging atmosphere.
On the course you will learn:
- handling the equipment and the basic stance
- balance and moving on a gentle slope
- stopping in control
- your first turns and using the lift
The goal is for every participant to experience moments of insight and success and gain the confidence to continue practising independently.
The course is also ideal for those who have some experience from years ago but want to get a feel for the slope again and gain confidence before skiing on their own. No previous experience is needed, though – an open mind, warm clothes and weatherproof gear are all you need.

Courses for adults & children
Courses
What does Werneri teach? Skiing and snowboarding begin with the basics of slope behaviour: participants first get to know their equipment on flat ground. Using the lifts safely, slope rules, working in a group and helping others are the key points of beginner instruction. A child who completes the Werneri ski school is a skilled skier or snowboarder who can continue the hobby in, for example, an alpine or freestyle club.
Werner’s First Steps on Skis
Werner’s First Steps on Skis is a 2 × 50-minute course for 4–5-year-olds that gives children the chance to take their first steps on skis together with others of the same age.
The aim of the course is for each child to experience the joy of discovery and success in a safe and inspiring environment, at a level that suits them. During the course, children learn to:
- stop at a marked spot
- make their first turns
The course prepares children to move on to the Snow Werneri level, and the instructors can also assess whether the child is ready to join a Snow Werneri course during the same season.
Each child must be accompanied by one parent or guardian as “moral support and an extra pair of hands” – for example, helping the child get on and off the lift. No special skills are required – just warm clothes and waterproof shoes.
Snow Werneri
This course is for 6–12-year-olds taking their first steps on alpine skis.
The aim of the course is to learn basic skiing skills, how to use the lifts, slope etiquette and slope safety.
For children under 6 interested in skiing, we recommend Werner’s First Steps on Skis or a private lesson.
Speedy Werneri
For 5–12-year-olds who can already make snowplough turns, brake, stop, control their speed and use the button and T-bar lifts.
The course develops skiing towards parallel turns and teaches how to apply one’s skills in different slope conditions.
Board Werneri
The minimum age for the course is 7. The course is for children and young people who are new to snowboarding or have tried it a few times. The aim is to get to know the snowboard, learn about slope safety and how to use the ski lifts (carpet, rope and button lift). The course covers the basic skills of snowboarding, such as balance, gliding, side-slipping on the edge and turning.
For children under 6 interested in snowboarding, we recommend booking a private lesson.
Board Werneri II – continuation course
This course is suitable for snowboarders who know the basics and can use the rope and button lifts on their own. The course focuses on smoother turning and versatile board control through varied exercises. It also introduces basic carving and freestyle tricks. The goal is to become an independent rider in fairly easy conditions.
Participants should ideally have experience of both toe-side and heel-side turns in easy conditions.
Adult beginner course
The adult beginner course is designed for first-timers and those with only a little previous experience of skiing or snowboarding. The course consists of two 90-minute lessons, during which you learn the essential basics of the sport in a safe, relaxed and encouraging atmosphere.
During the course, you will learn:
- handling the equipment and a good basic stance
- balance and moving on gentle slopes
- stopping safely and in control
- your first turns and using the lift
The goal is for every participant to experience the joy of learning and to gain the confidence to keep practising independently.
The course is also ideal for those who have tried the sport years ago but want to get the feel of the slopes back and gain confidence before skiing on their own.
No previous experience is required – just an open mind, warm clothes and weatherproof gear.
Course registration closes at 6 pm the day before the course starts.
