Ruskotunturi has something for all ages and the whole family. Come and practise skiing on the magic carpet lift, or head to the sledding hill together.
The campfire spot is a great place to warm up cold toes, and it’s easy to grab some hot cocoa and a snack from the café to keep you going!
For the little ones
Huvikumpu (formerly Lastenmaa) is the youngest family members’ first taste of downhill sports. The lifts are sized for the very smallest skiers.
If skiing is completely new, it’s a good idea to sign your child up for a ski school course or private lesson to give the new hobby a great start.
A day out for the whole family
Werner’s First Steps on Skis and Snow Werneri courses are a great first introduction to skiing for children.
Our rental shop has equipment for the whole family, including children’s sets for under 6-year-olds.
Bring your own snacks and enjoy them at the campfire spot. It’s a great place to warm up cold toes.
Forgot your snacks? The café has hot cocoa, doughnuts and warm food.
The next step
The Minipark/Narupark offers beginner-friendly rails and bumps. You can come and practise in the park without any previous experience, as long as you can turn, control your speed and ride the lift.
Park riding, small jumps and presses are a great way to build all-round skiing skills – even if you never plan to move on to bigger jumps 😉
